TRINITY (2015)

STRING QUARTET, CLARINET, PIANO & ELECTRONICA (25 min.)

  1. Danzas Anacrónicas

  2. Merienda a la salida de misa

  3. Salamanda dance

Premiered May 28th 2015, San Clemente (USA) by LA Grand Ensemble

“Trinity is a combination of 3 pieces interconnected by electronica tracks that takes you in a journey through different works of Colomer that were influenced by a similar thematic material, consisting of a succession of chords with an early music flavor.

From the eclectic “Danzas anacrónicas” (Anachronic dances) for Violin, Cello & Piano that form the first movement, to the introspective “Merienda a la salida de misa” (Late afternoon snack after church) for Clarinet and String Quartet that is the second movement, to the energic and final “Salamanca”, a dance for Clarinet, Piano, String Quartet & electronica, we witness the diversity that a simple thematic element, a set of chords in this case, can be created in the hands of an inquisitive mind and an expert craftsman like Colomer.”
